The location for visiting family is excellent
It’s always very clean
The noise of water running when a room around us had a shower or used the toilet. It was as if the water was running in our bathroom

Great food , the Thai restaurant at the hotel was amazing. Breakfast was good too.
Local Italian restaurant across the road from the hotel was really good.
Convenient for supporting the Great north run.
Very little soundproofing within the hotel. Could hear people using their bathrooms. Doors banging.
The traffic noise from the room overlooking the main road was really bad.

Nice location, tasty breakfast, friendly waitress staff
Cold room, duvet paper thin, matress uncomfortable and noisy, check in staff on desk didnt acknowledge it was our wedding night until one came round to open the door, nothing special about the room, would have been nice to have a few special touches or complimentary item in room considering we booked the 'honeymoon suite'! Breakfast portion was very small, tasty but only 1 item of each served.
