This lovely hotel has a communal ski lodge vibe, being both high up the mountain and adorned with skiing parafinalia. It is great base from which to explore by car and walk into the countryside.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and informative.
Dinner was a la carte with some wonderful dishes, albeit a couple not to our taste. Wines was great value. Breakfast was also cooked to order with a large choice.
We did a (free) guided walk which was so enjoyable and informative.
A lovely indoor pool and (free) sauna as well.
The room was a bit smaller than expected and the kettle was in a communal kitchen (sorry to be nit-pickey).
There is no lift in the hotel but the staff will always be of assistance.

All stuff members (front desk, restaurant and spa) were exceptional - helpful, attentive and genuinely caring. The location is obviously amazing - remote and peaceful. But towns of Seia and Manteigas with supermarkets and restaurants are available within 30mins drive.
Despite the hotel positioned as high-end - the room is really small and not well planned. It’s difficult to use wardrobe, also the door to bathroom is a sliding door that’s not providing enough privacy. Also there’s a glass wall between the room and shower, which can be both a feature or a lack of privacy, depending on whom you ask.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, and excellent dinner.
The rooms and bathroom were too small for the price. The lighting was poor and everything that was printed (the dinner menu, the spa menu, etc) was in tiny font and impossible to read. Would have been nice to have an outdoor pool. There was also a bad smell in part of the hotel, like lacquer.
