Bit noisy as near a busy road

The hotel is easy to drive too, just off the autoroute and with good car parking. The staff were friendly, helpful, and many spoke good English. The restaurant was good, a short menu but food well prepared and nicely presented. Breakfasts were also very good. The hotel is about 30 minutes walk from Aix old centre and is also on a bus route into town.

The hotel was a little tired. The carpet in our room looked dirty and needed replacing. Our room was on the side closest to the autoroute and was quite noisy so travellers should request a room at the front! The swimming pool was colder than the September Mediterranean but is a reasonable size for a hotel.

Carpet in room stained and needs changing badly, curtains very worn , sink stained with rust, bedside tables are a joke too small! Fridge should be elevated and not on the floor, access to it is not that easy!

property was in a good location and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. swimming pool although small was very pleasant to swim in. restaurant was well laid out and breakfast was superb.

there were some technical issues with our room. lights not working, very dated rooms, chipboard wall paper and plastic bathrooms. but comfortable. just wasn’t expecting a family of 4 to be squished in a room for 2.

nice place for a comfortable stop over with the family. pool available, kids entratainment, and restaurant with few choices but the food we ordered was excellent

Comfortable beds, good breakfast, free parking

This hotel is a 3 star motel passing itself off as a 4 star hotel. The rooms are tired, the carpet is dark, worn and stained. The bathroom is small and has a separate toilet. I hate separate toilets, we're not in the 1970s any more! Also, there is nothing in the description of the hotel that tells you, had I known I would not have booked it. The fixed price evening meal was not to our taste and the a la carte menu was really expensive, 18 euros for a pizza! We ate elsewhere. Everything totally overpriced.

I have stayed at multiple Novotel hotels around the World and this is by far the worst. Starting with the staff, the receptionist in the evening who did the check-in was very rude and didn’t like answering questions. He had a temper and although the hotel was nearly empty with no guests, it felt like he is not in the mood to welcome guests and definitely needs training since he is working for an Accor hotel. However, there are other receptionists who were kind (in the morning) and so helpful that it I have a completely different experience between the morning and the evening. Second, the room was not clean and found weird bugs walking on the blanket as shown in the photo. When I showed it to the staff they said it’s common in this area and offered sleeping at a different room and leaving our stuff in the first room until cleaned properly the next morning. However, none of what was promised happened and came back and found my room untouched. Finally, the shower is almost cold and when complained to the staff, they linked it to the fact that other residents are using the hot water so I have to wait a little bit before trying again but turned out that there is no hot water whatsoever.

I paid for a 4 star hotel. The carpets are very old , dusty and stained. The smell In the stairwell is awful. Although the receptionist told us it is from the cleaning fluid- It was difficult to breathe.

Attendence are slow and bad; the door doesn’t open easly, you always should do a strong push and the air conditioner doesn’t work bellow about 25 degrees.

In 30 years I have never experienced such humiliating arrogance. Assuming that we paid EUR 874 p night and they advertise with the Relais & Châteaux label, we were extremely disappointed. On arrival we only had the Spanish vaccination certificate with Pfizer. According to the last requirements that was not enough. The lady at the reception sends us on foot with a military command about 30 minutes to the nearest pharmacy where we did the anti-gene test. Not a kind word or helpfulness. After 2 hours of walking and waiting for the test, we were allowed to do the check-in. When we were at the house's own beach we couldn't believe what we saw. A small bar with hardly any space. Sun loungers placed shoulder to shoulder as close together as on an airplane. No space for house guests but outside customers were allowed in with a reservation. That was unworthy of people, especially with 5 stars. At the breakfast buffet there was no freshly squeezed orange juice only cheap out of the box. The menu was only in French, which we barely understand. We had to ask for each dish separately and I ordered normal ones ham. This ham was charged to me with an extra 20 € without any notice. I wanted to complain about this when I checked out, but the refusal was again humiliating. The award Relais & Châteaux should be removed immediately.
