My stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel offers excellent value for money and is ideally located: very close to Munich Central Station, tram stop and within easy reach of the city centre, museums, shops and many of Munich’s main attractions.
I particularly appreciated the hotel’s distinctive character. Unlike the increasingly standardised minimalist interiors found in many hotels, KING’s Hotel First has an elegant, traditional style, with wooden four-poster beds and beautiful velvet sofas in the lobby and common areas. It feels warm, refined and unmistakably Bavarian. The bed was exceptionally comfortable.
The staff were extremely kind, attentive and welcoming. At the same time, everything was very convenient and efficient, with online procedures and helpful communication via WhatsApp.
The room included complimentary water and coffee, as well as shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and body lotion. Additional complimentary amenities, including toothbrushes and snacks, were available in the lobby. There is also a very practical amenity room where guests can find an ironing board, extra towels and other useful items.
The hospitality extended beyond the room: while spending time in the lobby, I was offered complimentary drinks. When I checked out, the staff also gave me a small carton of water for my journey, which was an unexpected and thoughtful touch. The luggage storage system was secure and easy to use.
Breakfast was excellent, generous and varied.
An excellent stay overall—I would gladly return.
The only minor drawback was that, despite having requested a quiet room at the rear and being on the second floor, I could still hear the trains slightly and chose to sleep with earplugs. However, I normally travel with earplugs anyway, and this was more than compensated for by the hotel’s strategic location and all its other qualities

Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of high-quality food, including fresh fruit, yogurt, and good coffee. There was a wide variety of both sweet and savory options, so there was something for everyone.
The location was perfect for our stay: just a 4-minute walk from the central station, about a 20-minute walk from Marienplatz, and only 10 minutes from Königsplatz. It was very convenient for exploring the city.
The hotel staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and professional, always ready to help and make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel and our room were also very clean and well maintained, which made the overall experience even more pleasant.
One small downside was that there was no kettle in the room. Having one would have been a nice added convenience.

Shoutout to the warm and welcoming reception, complete with welcome drinks on arrival. The room was quiet, and the area felt safe despite being so central, just a 6-minute walk from Munich Central Station and convenient for the Lufthansa Airport Express. We also loved the €10 Green Stay voucher for skipping one day of room cleaning- a great way to encourage sustainability while still giving guests the choice.
