Good value for money. Rooms are clean and spaceous. Great connection to city center. Breakfast was delicious, great coffee. There is construction site in frint of the hotel, but windows are totally sound proof and there was not any.noise at all.
Garage is separated from hotel and didn't feel really safe. Doors were open all the time.

Close to main train station, my second booking with breakfast is with good value. The first one without breakfast is average.
Didn’t realize the hotel has a lot of tours booking as well so breakfast areas is quite busy. Fortunately the staffs are efficient in cleaning the tables

Good location within a tram ride to city center, comfortable clean beds, well equipped rooms, definitely would stay here again.
Very nice selection of breakfast buffet to get your day started.
The only minus was our rooms were facing the next door construction, so little bit noisy at times but quiet at night.

I am really trying to balance my impression of this Hotel.
Hotel room was clean & decent size.
Location: This hotel is located in an ethnic neighborhood. We felt safe during the day, but not so much when returning at night. The # 1 electric street car is about 6-8 minute walk away from the hotel, and it will take you to the inner ring and there is a stop along the ring near the near the Opera house about a 15 minute ride depending on the time of day. Then there is a short walk, maybe 5-10 minute, to St Stephan’s Cathedral.
Food
Discounted, at the hotel, a buffet breakfast was offered for 18 Euros. If you need to drink several cups of coffee, you night want to use it, otherwise the buffet is, imo not worth it. We came from Munich and Salzburg, and both of our accommodations had extensive choices for breakfast. We opted out of Rainer’s breakfast.
There is an ethnic bakery about two blocks to the left as you exit the hotel where we drank Caffe Latte and had a chocolate crossoint for circa 7 euros each. It is called “ Konditorei & Backerei”. (Photo below). The Ladies in the back of the bakery, where there is seating, were friendly, and also served soup, which we tried. Quite good.
Circa 6 euros for homemade bowl of soup and fresh backed bread! Not much to look at from the outside but good soup.
Check in : The receptionist put us on the 4th (highest) floor. When I explained to the young woman at the desk that it would be better for us to be on a lower floor, i was told that she, herself ,was “new and had only been there a month and she was unable to change the room on the computer.” There was no supervisor available at that time (midweek) who could do it. When we got to the 4th floor (with only 1 active elevator available in the hotel for guests) our room, was the only room on the entire floor that had a high step to take immediately before entering the room ( see photo below). What were they thinking!! Dangerous, especially for a senior! Each time we entered or exited the room there was an immediate step!
Hotel services:
Hotel claims to have 24 hour service at the front desk. When we came in at night twice there was no one at the desk. When we had to depart early in the morning to get to the airport, we specifically asked if someone would be at the desk. We were assured, yes, someone would be there. Guess what, no one was there! If you read other reviews you will find that this has happened to other guests as well.
During our 4 day stay, there was never a supervisor available! We were even told no supervisor is there on the weekend!! Front desk staff ranged from very kind and helpful folks to less than competent and curt ones. Waitress…not so helpful! Ask yourself, what 4 star hotel, has no supervisor or person in charge for that long a period??
Bathroom
Although our room + bathroom were clean, was clean, there was a drainage problem in the bathroom sink! Long time for water to drain out. Bathtub, old Austrian style - half -high- tub…hard for an 85 years old to get into for a shower! Toilet bottom is starting to rock, likely needs resealing.
There is a lot of construction going on around the hotel. Our room floor got very dirty when it rained.
