A beautiful old historical building with large well appointed rooms. There's a rooftop terrace with views of the Duomo which was a lovely place to sit. Peyman, the desk manager, was welcoming and helpful.
The breakfast is served in an adjoining restaurant and is quite limited.

The staff was excellent. Both Patricia and Payman were wonderful.
Room was nice, bed was comfortable.
We paid for a one bedroom with two beds off property. We were given a suite at the main location (appreciate the location) but it only had one bed- which is not the room we paid for and chose specifically. We were told breakfast was 15/person but we were charged 20/person at checkout.

The hotel is very well located, right in the city center, and the building itself has a lot of charm and character. It seems to be a beautiful old building, possibly a former pharmacy, with interesting vintage furniture. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus, especially with temperatures around 35°C throughout all six days of our stay.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness was disappointing. There was a lot of dust in the rooms, and the old furniture was not properly cleaned. We also discovered ants under an old cupboard, and unfortunately some ended up in our luggage. We had to ask reception on a couple of days to have the room cleaned before 14:00, as it was consistently being cleaned around 15:00 and seemed to be done in a hurry. Overall, the cleaning felt very superficial, which is not what we would expect from a 4-star hotel.
The breakfast was another major disappointment. Despite having paid quite a lot for breakfast to be included, the choice was extremely limited: essentially a croissant and a sandwich or omelette, with tea and bread, butter or jam. There was no fruit or vegetables at all. In fact, on three of the six mornings, we chose to have breakfast at a nearby café instead.
