Comfortable

Room 316 - bed was comfortable and jacuzzi bath was great. Also Nice to have shower that you can take off to wash hair separately.

Could have been cleaner - a number of black hairs in the bath and around bath tiles. Not nice. Also I was offered a refurbished room for an extra £5. The hotel wasn’t full , that is the sort of thing the hotel should be offering complimentary to encourage people back.

Lovely Hotel will be back soon

Even tho there is work going on at the Hotel at the moment.. we did h at anything at all .. the bar was still available and food in rooms .. The staff were amazing.. friendly helpful and i will definitely be going back soon

Sehr empfehlenswert für Stadtbesichtigung

Gute Lage, fußläufig zur Innenstadt. Geräumiges, frisch renoviertes Zimmer Internet immer verfügbar ;Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden ohne jede Höhenbeschränkung . Kontinentales Frühstück ausreichend und abwechslungsreich. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Clean comfortable and new.

V big rooms. V clean and newly refurbished rooms.

Want a fridge in the room. And only 1 coffee and 1 tea bag each. So needs either to be more generous or restocked.

Loved the room

Good position - just out of town but easily walkable. Great staff. Parking, if you’re quick. Quirky but very comfortable suite’. Signature bathroom.

No fridge in room but that’s a personal drum I beat. Parking, if you’re quick.

Nice location. Stay in the newest part of the hotel if you want to get any sleep!

Great location and lovely staff who sorted out our problem with noise and moved us to a much nicer/quieter room in the new part of the refurbished hotel. This was a beautiful room.

We were originally in the old part of the hotel and it was very noisy, from both the rooms at the sides and above. We would only stay again if we were in the refurbished part of the hotel.

Makeover needed

Friendly staff, great location, lovely grounds

Photo misleading

Our room was brand new

The main areas where very dated and it’s on a very busy road although you couldn’t hear the road noise from the room you could sat outside. Photo made it look like a country house estate hotel which it isn’t.

Bar/food service could have been better.

Deluxe room was very large and spacious. Location was fairly close to the Town Centre and parking was free and easy. The hotel suited purpose for two nights so we could attend a wedding.

We travelled with our Dog and appreciate that we could not take her in the restaurant for breakfast. but were told we could take breakfast in the bar area with our dog. Despite being asked to book a time to take breakfast, no tables were set in this area and no staff were readily available, not a problem but we then had to find someone to take our order. Once placed and with coffee & orange juice arriving, the small table we were sat at was then dressed. When the food arrived it was realised that the table we were sat at was not suitable so another table was brought over for overspill, so ended up fine but somewhat disjointed and took far longer than expected. This was the same situation on both mornings despite booking breakfast with our dog. The other issue I felt a little strange was that we were told that because of Covid, our room could not be serviced after the first night despite staying for two. Our stay was in Mid August 2021 yet I had stayed in other hotels in June and July where our rooms had been serviced after each night. I do not know if this is the current rule or whether it was a cost saving?

Absolute Gem of a hotel.

The lovely breakfast. A good choice.. Even for vegans.. The staff were all very helpful polite. The nice warm bedrooms.. There was a problem with our room, within 5 minutes it was sorted out and we were given another room. The lovely comfy beds and fluffy towels, The quietness of the hotel.. Ten minute walk into Canterbury.. Free parking.. We will be back. Thank you.. Couldn't find a thing not to like and enjoy about this hotel. Also it was spotless everywhere.. Oh yes and they let you bring dogs.. Don't let that put you off. If you wonder about that.. The rooms are soundproof.. Excellent hotel.. And believe me I've been to thousands.. OK 1 thing a bit iffy is the WiFi.. Not great.. So that why 9 not 10

Good hotel for a weekend break in Canterbury

The hotel has a nice feel to it despite being in need of renovation. Staff are warm and welcoming. We had a dinner in the restaurant when we arrived, which exceeded our expectations. The Tchibo coffee maker in the room was a nice addition too.

The hotel and the room was a bit tired and had seen better days. The hotel was overpriced for what it was, but on the other hand, so are all hotels right now due to the demand for UK breaks and holidays.

Location was great for the town centre only a ten minute walk, some lovely bars and restaurants , the staff were very friendly and professional would definitely stay at this hotel again. felt

Accommodation and food fine.

Meal service was poor. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The noise from the occupants of the room above was very irritating due probably to inadequately fitting floorboards.

Disappointing, the male reception staff member couldn't speak enough English to be any good.

The hotel was very clean and we liked the bar area, bedroom was fine too

The evening dining experience was awful, we were told to book a time, only to arrive in a huge dining room with 6 people no atmosphere at all, apparently the other dining room had a function - a coach party - if we had been told we could have gone out to eat or had a bar snack. Unfortunately the staff didn't have a clue what they were doing, the food was OK The morning was worse, still the huge dining room with 10 people, the food was disgusting, sausage inedible, egg solid, everything lukewarm, I asked for porridge which arrived AFTER the cooked items, my granddaughter's order was completely forgotten so she was a bit luckier as it was cooked fresh, still not tasty but hot. Every table was sending the food back for some reason. the staff were totally incompetent and not at all friendly, my daughter did complain and received a discount, but it still spoilt our little break.
