Fantastic location for walking around the town!

Lovely room, very clean. Nice having our own courtyard with table & chairs to sit outside in the sun. Breakfast was really nice with plenty to choose from. Great location, right in the town centre so able to walk everywhere in town.

Exceptional

Lovely, clean hotel, great location. The staff at breakfast were really helpful, and the food was delicious. It's a really great place to stay and always my first choice.

Nothing really.

Personnel items disappeared. Room service took it. Reception responded to customer request incompetently. Parking full when late. Only one small window for room 1st floor (no ventilation). Couldn’t get food in the pub.

Great location, friendly staff, great room and good breakfast

Friendly staff, comfortable room, good selection at breakfast.

The bathroom access was up one step and then 2 more steps which was a bit odd.

The bed was massive and super comfy. Location so close to station and the centre of Canterbury.

paying for parking (12 a day) when paying a lot of money for a room felt a bit excessive

A great experience!

Lovely location, nice decor and very friendly staff

There was an intermittent hum / knocking from the heating in the passage near our room which disturbed our sleep.

A positive experience.

The location was fantastic - right in the middle of the town. The bed was comfortable and all the linen of a high quality. Good shower and great bathroom. The breakfast was lovely and the young lady who took the orders was very helpful and professional. Even though the car park was an added cost, it was convenient to have a parking space on site.

As with many hotels in old buildings, there were stairs and passageways to negotiate. We were on the first floor, so it wasn’t too bad but may be tricky for people with mobility issues. Our room looked onto the back and there were tables for drinks. As it was cold and rainy, there wasn’t anyone outside, but it may be different on fine, warm evenings.

Nice place, but if you want hotel parking look elsewhere

Room neat and tidy - nice decor - but small

Car parking was terrible. Paid for as an extra but no spaces at times. Security barrier not in use (why not?) so spaces taken by non-residents and staff. If barrier was in use and staff advised not to park the problem could be solved easily. Not happy with current arrangements

Can't really fault it

Nice cooked breakfast, rooms clean, bottled water was a nice touch. Pretty well sound-proofed from the road outside.

Tasty breakfast, lots of choice from the menu, nice coffee. The room was great, they gave us an upgrade, very clean, very comfortable bedding, the cocktails we had at the bar were amazing. A great stay!

Great location for lovely short break.

lovely room, had upgraded to ensure twin beds. overlooked the nearby pub's beer garden but no problem. loved the character of the hotel and lovely relaxed vibe. V easy walk from Canterbury West and for bus to Whitstable. Perfect location.

Breakfast fine- avoid the avocado, was like a sweetened mush. Staff good but not enough of them- they worked really hard. Pleasant stay.
