Great location half way to the Orkney Ferry from Inverness airport .
Arrived to no reception as they had gone back to university. Grounds looked like they need some love too. For £300 I expected a special room with the finer 4 star touches. It was unremarkable.

Beautiful rooms and excellent bar/restaurant area. Lovely contemporary decor, comfortable and clean. Location next to golf club and beach was perfect. Staff were fantastic.
Bathrooms a bit small and supper menu limited.

Public rooms were smartly decorated
Very overpriced with misleading description - no sea view or sounds as that’s a walk away with steep/uneven access. The expensive junior suite was right at the back through numerous and noisy fire doors, totally unsuitable for people with access limitations. Stained and scratched desk, flies in ceiling lights, many chips on paintwork, mould on shower seals. Standard double bed - not large. View of building works - with no warning or compensation. Food was OK but also very overpriced. Sea too far away to be seen or heard from hotel. Service charge applied even if you buy a drink from the bar and carry it yourself!
