The hotel was a perfect location for where I needed to be, and is a short walk from the main town centre. It's not a modern hotel, and doesn't come with all the glamour, but certainly serves it's purpose if you're just needing a bed for the night. It was very clean, the bed was very comfy, and the bathroom was lovely and modern with a great shower and I had everything I needed.
I would say it is a little pricey at £120/night, in comparison to where I have stayed elsewhere, but I did well and booked it on Booking.com for £98 with my genius discount.
I had also booked a single room and was given a double room.
My only comment would be making it feel a little more modern, but without losing its internal character.

Walking distance from station. Big bath and plenty of hot water. Excellent breakfast.

Our room was small and at the very top, 3rd floor. Lots of stairs
