Location for Hadrians Wall. Superb food (venison and black pudding pie)

food was really nice, overall perception of the venue was positive, only down point was the decoration in the shower room peeling paint and signs of black mould, as a Decorator can I suggest using zinsser perma white for these areas

It’s wonderful location for exploring Hadrians Wall & very peaceful!
The evening food & breakfast are lovely!
We even stayed & had the Sunday dinner which was also delicious

The location was perfect. Sat on the edge of the river was idealic. Easy to get to places. Quite peaceful.
Place is a maze. No lift and stairs/steps everywhere. Lugging suitcases around did us in.
Room was basic, bed like a concrete block, some spots of mould in the bathroom, dog barking from 6am continuously. Smallest bathroom sink ever seen!
Staff not once asked how things are - food stay room etc. Stood around chatting with each other. Even on checking out, no checking how stay was. They really were not bothered.
Food was overpriced and bland. £6.50 for 3 very small ham and cheese croquet that were so small you could miss them. Totally tasteless. Breakfast was overcooked and tasteless as well.
