The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the room stayed warm throughout our stay. Having an on-site washing machine and dryer was incredibly handy while travelling. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was good for exploring Taupō by car.
The property feels quite run-down and could benefit from a refresh. Our room didn't have a view, and while the location is good, it's just a little too far from the town centre to be really convenient if you want to walk. Overall, it lacked atmosphere and felt a little depressing. We probably stayed longer than we should have, as there are many newer, more inviting places to stay in Taupō.
