The location, the breakfast, the friendly staff
Unfortunately our room was located in the modern new wing of the castle and we do not recommend to stay there. The steel, the concrete make it very uncomfortable and there are noises coming from the kitchen below to take into consideration. The vibrations of the noise - generator ? ventilation ? Fridge ?

Schöne ruhige Zimmer, sehr gute Küche (Frühstück, Abendessen), nettes Personal, Fahrradabstellplatz mit Lademöglichkeit, historisches Ambiente;
Für die Sommerzeit zu dicke Bettdecken;

Beautiful location, grounds and facilities
Amazing pool area (beautiful, clean)
Rooms are nice and comfortable albeit small for the price
Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of foods offered (incl. milk alternatives etc.) and very friendly and helpful staff
Dinner at the hotel restaurant (Schlosstaverne) was extremely disappointing; while the restaurant itself and in particular the terrace is beautiful the food was - for lack of a better word - bad and poorly cooked (undercooked potatoes, salad not dressed and bland, cream soup watery and bland) and the service slow and a bit chaotic (albeit very friendly and helpful when present)
Service overall was inconsistent and sometimes poor, e.g. staff at reception treat guests as if they were staying at a youth hostel
