Initially I thought I might not be able to check in until late in the evening, but I was able to change my plans and arrive at lunchtime. Not only did this mean I was able to be fitted in for an excellent 3-course lunch but they were also able to let me check into my room early as I had to go out again before the official check-in time. The room was superb - spacious, lovely bathroom, quality fittings and linens, with extra touches like a box of superior shortbread, fridge with fresh milk, pod machine plus ordinary kettle, etc. Breakfast was equally excellent, with a good-sized plateful and high quality ingredients used: you can tell a lot about a place by its sausage! All the staff I met were very friendly and helpful - the girls serving my lunch, the boys behind the bar and the lovely breakfast lady! This place really was so much better than I expected in every respect.
Not a problem on this occasion but prefer a handheld shower head to a fixed one.

Staff were very helpful. Location was good - but near a noisy main road. The room was fine with nice bathroom and shower
Limited areas to walk the dog adjacent to the hotel. Much larger and busier than I had expected.

The room was modern and very clean. The restaurant menu was varied and the food was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
