It was so much better than we imagined. A little oasis.
So clean. Great bed, lovely pool area, great coffee machine and fab towels.

Quiet, guests were generally respectful of quiet hours. Spacious common areas and decent amenities. Staff were kind and patient sorting out some difficulties. Good security.
Wastepaper bin sometimes too full, could be checked and emptied more frequently. Management was inflexible about exchanging booking to an upgrade room so paid more than necessary. 17 min walk to beach, but 30 min hilly walk to town. Good if you're there mainly for beach, less convenient if you want to talk to town and back but doable.

For me this was the perfect find: the hostel aspect was great, many different communal spaces to socialise (kitchen, upstairs living room, roof terrace and the pool). But there is also the option to book a room for yourself to ensure better sleep. It was a 30 min walk from the centre of Lagos (with Uber you can go to the centre for 4 euro) but I read that it can be very noisy at night and this neighbourhood is much more quiet. Also it takes 15-20 min walk to the beaches in the south. All spaces were kept tidy and clean, coffee/tea/muffins are free for guests. The kitchen is well equipped! The other guests were a mix: some a bit younger, others older, overall I had very interesting and fun conversations with the other people. I would stay here again!
I did a kayak tour, walked the Ponte Piedade and took a surf lesson (Tiny Whale), would recommend!

The staff did their best to accommodate getting a new room despite the initial room being dirty.
Our initial room was dirty, admittedly so by the staff. Then the room they gave us instead was smaller and less well located.
