Difficile descrivere una struttura simile, mi e' sembrato di fare un salto nel passato. La struttura e' molto bella, maestosa, in collina, al fresco. La stanza (sembrava piu' un appartamento) arredata in stile coloniale (presumo fosse mobilia originale). Dal balcone si vedevano gli scoiattoli scorazzare ed il cartello "Chiudete le finestre per non far entrare le scimmie" aveva un qualcosa di fascinoso. Bella la piscina. Il personale cordiale, disponibile e professionale. Non ho apprezzato la citta' ma potrei pensare di tornarci solo per soggiornare in questo hotel.
Mi e' piaciuto tutto, non ho nulla da contestare. Difficile migliorare una cosa del genere senza farle perdere fascino. Per dovere di cronaca (e perche' devo scrivere qualcosa di lungo per proseguire) la doccia non era estremamente confortevole a livello di flusso dell'acqua ma penso che si tratti di uno standard in Sry Lanka

This is a very nice small hotel in a quiet neighborhood above the center of the city. It has comfortable rooms and a pool. Our room had a really nice view of the hills. It's a short walk into town.
The hotel downgraded our room without telling us (although we did like the room). When I realized it, I was told this was my fault because I accepted their offer to be assigned a room with a view. We had no wifi most of the time -- when I brought this to staff's attention the first time, I was told that was impossible. The second time I mentioned this in a text, I didn't get a response. The first morning, we had no hot water -- I was told this was my fault for not letting the water run long enough (it apparently wasn't my fault since we had hot water after they flipped a switch). The staff entered our room twice without permission even after I told them not to enter the room. When I brought these communication problems to the owner's attention, he yelled at me for complaining and we left early. No one once said "don't worry -- we'll take care of it." The response was always that they were right and I was wrong. So the hotel is nice if you don't mention problems.

A quiet calm comfortable oasis only a short walk from the centre of Kandy. Lovely, attentive staff.

Room big, server was friendly and nice.
Dark rooms, didn’t feel we had privacy due to room door being at entrance to reception and no noise reduction, felt like living in open house with random people outside room, placed food order more than hour in advance still came late, breakfast hot food came out cold, felt awkward at check in.
