The pub and rooms have recently had an upgrade and the result is truly stunning. The pub is a gorgeous country pub with exquisite food. I stayed in the ground floor Family Room which has just been newly created from the old Breakfast Room and it is absolutely gorgeous! It even has its own entrance, which is a great bonus and a lovely touch. It is also completely soundproofed so there is no external noise.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff - Myles and his team are extremely welcoming and I always feel at home when I stay. I look forward to staying again near Christmas!

Really glad I found this place. Beautiful setting in quiet, well manicured grounds.
Staff were welcoming and friendly even though they were busy in the evening with lots of 'walk ins' who wanted food.
I ordered the slow cooked beef shin which was absolutely lovely. Breakfast was equally brilliant with a well portioned full English.
The venue is very dog friendly which I also loved. Other reviews have mentioned poor wifi but I had no problem at all in my room, grounds or bar area.
I booked a single room by mistake (my error). It was a small room but laid out really well with everything you could possibly need. The single bed and pillow's were really comfortable and I slept well. No noise outside whatsoever. Bathroom was equally small but clean and functional with a walk in shower.

Paper thin walls, creaky noisy floors, no air con, security light directly outside my window. Generally really dated decor. Staff no customer service skills.
