Perfect as a family room. Just the right size!
A tad on the pricey side when the kids were added. A baby gate might be worth considering as an option.

Perfect location for everything would definitely stay again. Everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay.
Wasn’t anything not to like Southwell is beautiful. Loots of great restaurants Deli’s and independent shops

Arrangements for entry and check out all clear, easy and worked fine. Room facilities, layout, cleanliness, comfort (at last, TWO chairs in a room for a couple!), all excellent. Shower one of the best design and performance I've ever experienced. Location within easy walking distance of town centre, shops, market and the Minster. Really quaint twitten approach to the front door, friendly neighbours, excellent olde worlde character yet space age modernity in the fittings - auto lights, auto tap, combination lock security cupboard, fully fitted kitchen, except no washing machine :o))
The bathroom basin drain needs cleaning out, draining was slow. I find this in many places, does nobody ever check the U-bend? And what do other guests put down the sinks to keep blocking them? There was no obvious ventilation in the room itself. But even though it was during a heatwave (mid-August 2026) the room was comfortably cool using the fan. Parking is not quite the plentiful status advertised, but perhaps arriving on a Friday evening outside The Reindeer pub this isn't surprising. Still, we found a place to park only about 50 yards away from the door. And the arrival instructions were very clear on this. For these reasons the score is less than 5/5, but otherwise it would be full marks.
