food was excellent. the room comfortable except for below.
we had a lovely large room with good facilities. however there was a kitchen ventilation chimney outside our room which was noisy but at least it was turned off during the night. We couldn't get the TV to work but it was good also not to watch tv!

The location was great for walking. scenery and quiet. The food was very nice, but I expected that with the price tag it came with.
Our room was very basic considering what we paid. The bed was very comfortable, but the bathroom was disappointing. There was no stand-up shower - only a bath attachment. There were limited washing products in the bathroom. The noise from the stairs leading to the bathroom would have woken the dead! The room was tired.
The food quality was high, but the service less so. We had to wait an eternity for our drinks. Drinks should be delivered swiftly.
Furthermore, it wasn't clear that I had to pay an additional £15 for my dog. I thought the charge was associated with the provision of a bowl, towel and dog bed. We were not furnished with these, yet were still charged £15. Unsatisfactory.
