We loved it, I've visited Lynmouth many times but never been able to stay. So, when this opportunity came up I loved the look of the RiverSide Cottage and booked it immediately. And it didn't disappoint. It is literally, as the name implies, right on the river and we enjoyed watching the open water swimmers in the mornings. The reception\self check-in was done online and easy as pie.
Our room overlooked the river and we had both sea and valley views from the balcony. We enjoyed the balcony it was a great little space to people watch unobserved. The room itself was clean, tidy and well presented; not modern but exactly what I'd expect from a small seaside B&B. The bedding and towels were all spotlessly clean and fresh and the bed was firm but comfortable.
Breakfast was as advertised with a selection of cereals, cold meats and eggs, breads, spreads and jams.
We spent quite a while a chatting to the proprietors in the evenings, they were super friendly, we got all the local gossip and useful information. In the evening they have a well stocked spirits bar and bottled beers etc as well plus there's a small eat in\takeaway attached to the rear (where the bar is too) called the MeatHub if you didn't fancy any of the local pubs.
We had a fantastic stay both in Lynmouth and the RiverSide Cottage, thank you :)
There was NOTHING to not like but, maybe just tell your guests about your evening meals. Even if its just a small card in the rooms, we'd have totally eaten with you and chatted all evening :)

Excellent continental breakfast. Lots of GF options and staff very obliging and happy to help. Amazing location. The self check-in was hassle free and straightforward. Very good value for money.
Didnt receive a reply to an initial email requesting information, but that is understandable during the busy season. Issue was dealt with promptly.
