Good location being on the main street. In walking distance to the shops, restaurants and the river. The room was a nice and big so a relaxing space. The walk to get on our Whale watching boat was less than 5 minutes.

The room was good, comfortable and clean.
I had a staff issue. I was looking for a place to stay one night on Ballina. The Heritage Inn seemed to be what I wanted. I got a confirmation from booking.com which said that the reception was open until midnight. this turned out to not be true. I had to call several times to raise someone. The person seemed annoyed that I called. They directed me to the lock box and tried to tell me the number, but struggled to get the message over clearly. I did wonder if she was drunk. I was told that I was very rude. When I finally got the key, she hung up the phone. If I were the owner of this business, I would try calling the number in the evening - with a handkerchief over the mouthpiece. I think they might be surprised. A shame really, as the room itself was perfectly good.
