Budget friendly, good location

Conveniently location, good value for money

We booked 3 rooms and one of the rooms had a really musty smell which made sleeping in the room almost unbearable.

お風呂が快適

立地が良くコストパフォーマンスがいい。温泉も足を伸ばせて開放的な空間でゆったりと湯船につかれたので疲れが取れてました。

2人で泊まったが座れるところが一つしかなかった。座面が小さくても折り畳みでもいいので椅子はもう一脚欲しかった。

Great value hotel

Great value for money and good location. Staff was very helpful and baggage holding service was exceptional! A new towel was left in front of our room everyday which was awesome.

Airconditioning system was a bit weird and only heating could work. We opened the window to accommodate this but not a big issue for our stay.

A comfortable room for one night.

I've stayed in APA hotels before so I wasn't expecting much more than a standard business hotel, but I was surprised at the level of comfort and amenities in the room. The hotel also had a spa in the basement and a passable breakfast buffet. It was close to the park in a safe, clean part of Shinjuku.

On the whole it was a good place to stay. The lobby was a little tight for the number of people using it--those waiting for the elevators were forced to stand pretty much on top of those waiting to check in. The room was a little small, but perfectly fine for one person on a business trip. I wouldn't stay here with my family.

Amazing for the price, great public bath.

Very clean. Most staff very friendly. Onsen bath on site was amazing. Breakfast was good with variety. The price and location ($108/night) made it unbeatable.

The size of our small standard double room for two people was a challenge with two 26" roller bags and backpacks. We routinely had to climb over one another. It would be fine for singles. But, you pay for what you get. Worked fine for us overall.

Great location and right next to the Shinjuku Gyoemmae station entry

The location was just a min walk from the Shinjuku Gyoemmae station exit which was really helpful. The next closest Station Shinjuku San Chome was maybe 5 mins walk and also super convenient. The hotel is in front of the lovely Shinjuku Gardens. You can walk home from Shinjuku CBD in 10-15mins. Super convenient. The bed was actually comfy. We hate hard beds and were worried we would not be able to sleep (our last Tokyo hotel bed was like concrete) but the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The thicker pillow was decent too! Loved the big doona it kept us warm but also cool Appreciated the refills of toiletry items like elastics, make up pads, cotton buds etc Staff were helpful when we had issues and could speak a little big of English which was helpful at those time Staff were friendly The humidifier was helpful to get airflow into the room Loved having a bath, it was small but useable The room and hotel was clean Cleaners clean every day if you request or a min of every 3 days. Fresh days daily was a godsend. Loved you can use the dryer and washing machines at the hotel. The washing machine fits a small load so we had to use two washing machines, I believe it was 500Y each. they dryer unfortunately didn't dry our clothes very well even after two hours. Appreciated the clothes hooks and hangers Mini bar fridge provided

The view from our room was about 2m to a wall, this mean even with the window open you got very little day light in the room. We stayed for 14 nights so not getting any light in the room did get tedious after a while. The lift was a pain. We were on floor 2 so if you left at a peak time around check out you could be waiting a long time as the higher levels would fill the lift. One day we waited about 8 mins for a lift, so we tried to avoid leaving at 10am and didn't have to wait too long The room was fairly hot. We barely needed to use the heating. I was worried about being cold in the room but had to open the door in the middle of the night to get cool air into the room. It got quite stuffy. I love being warm and I was struggling. Storage was a challenge with two large suitcases, no drawers cupboard, mirror cabinet etc. One we put near the fridge so opening the fridge was a bit annoying and the other near the end of the bed so was hard to squeeze past all the time. The beds were not higher to store anything under there. We used the desk for our toiletries and stuff. Would have appreciated some extra hooks in the room as you can never have enough storage.

Das Preis -Leistungs Verhältnis und die Lage wins wirklich gut. Ich war vorher schon in anderen APA Hotels in Shinjuku,

Die Lage ist wirklich sehr gut. Die U-Bahn Station ist nur wenige Meter entfernt. Das Ausgehviertel befindet sich gleich gegenüber. Der Onsen im Keller ist toll im Winter.

Man kann nicht auf die Treppe ausweichen, wenn der Fahrstuhl voll ist. Dadurch kann es passieren, dass man auch mal länger am Fahrstuhl warten muss.

Okay stay in good location

The location was good and right next to a lovely park. The check-in process was hectic, there were so many people trying to check in and while they had staff there, there were kiosks which you had to check in at which made it less personable compared to other accommodation we’ve stayed at in Japan. Small room, but as to be expected with Tokyo.

The carpet was a little grubby and the bidet water and seat was cold.

- unfriendly staff - two elevators for 15 floors (sometimes you wait up to 20 - 30 minutes to get out of the hotel, as there are no stairs) - very noisy customers and thin walls

Everything we needed with the bonus of a SPA

LOVED having the free spa downstairs. We used it almost 2x day. The location was amazing - so close to destinations, train stations, and convenience stores, but not in the heart of it all so it was quieter. The comforter was really comfortable and beds were cozy. Rooms were small but that's to be expected in Japan. Nice toiletries and bidet.

We found ourselves always needing more towels but no big deal. We got hot in the rooms during sleep and we weren't exactly sure how to use the thermostat (Google Translate wasn't helping much). Elevators were fairly slow so plan ahead.

Für die Gegend absolut in Ordnung wenn man keine hohen Ansprüche hat

Perfekte Anbindung an zwei Bahnlinien, einiges in Gehreichweite. Preis-Leistung absolut in Ordnung.

Zimmer sehr klein, hab meinen Koffer grad so irgendwie unter dem Tisch öffnen können. Sauberkeit könnte besser sein, ist aber okay.

Great location, but small rooms

Good location, 5-10min walk to Shinjuku station. Very quiet, didn’t hear any other guests when sleeping or outside noise

Great location near Shinjuku Station, easy to access the main touristic parts of Tokyo. Staff super helpful.

Rooms are really small, impossible to open the window (and view on a wall, I could not see the day light). But I guess this is Tokyo standards.

Great location

The location was fantastic! Close to trains, Shinjuku central, parks, coffee and food.

We were sad not to be able to use the spa facilities due to our tattoos. We do understand that this is a cultural consideration. Maybe in future you could consider allowing an hour or two in the day reserved just for foreign and other guests with tattoos to enjoy the spa facilities, too?

Very small room and disappointing breakfast

Well located. Access to washing machine (for a fee). Onsen, although we did not try it.

I was not expecting a big room, especially as we are both tall, but this room was very small and cramped. Had to 'Tetris' our luggage into the small floor space left, put the air-conditioning constantly to have some air and aeration for the towels to (try) to dry... felt a bit claustrophic. The hotel is packed, and the elevators very inefficient, so you spend quite a lot of time waiting to be able to go to your room, leave the hotel, or change floor (no stairs). Breakfast was not bad but with only a very reduced choice of either western or japanese food (and same things every day). Overall, apart from the location, I don't think it was great value for money.
