The location is beautiful, and being able to see animals directly from the room was a really special experience. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.
Unfortunately, the lack of transparency around the costs left a bad impression.
We paid for what was presented as full board/all-inclusive, but apparently that means food, a bed and water. Even a basic coffee at breakfast was not included and had to be paid for separately. Honestly, if you are selling a package as full board or all-inclusive, I think including a cup of coffee with breakfast is the absolute minimum. Having to pay extra for practically every drink made the package feel misleading.
The park fees were another issue. We were told that park fees had to be paid, but what was not made clear was that you have to pay the fee every single day you stay there — even when you are already inside the sanctuary. That makes a considerable difference to the final cost and should be stated very clearly before guests book. The food itself was okay and the overall coordination was fine, but for this kind of experience and price, I expected much better transparency.
It’s a shame because the lodge has a lot going for it: beautiful surroundings, wildlife right outside your room and genuinely friendly staff. But guests deserve to know exactly what they are paying for. Calling something “full board” or “all-inclusive” while charging separately for something as basic as breakfast coffee, combined with daily park fees that aren’t clearly explained upfront, leaves you feeling a little nickel-and-dimed.
Beautiful experience, but the pricing and inclusions need to be communicated much more honestly and clearly.

The staff were amazing. The setting is phenomenal! Watching the elephants drink a few feet away from you is amazing. Would highly recommend the late night drive.
The rooms are a bit dated, but that is part of the rustic bush charm.

The most magical place! From the moment you arrive it is just phenomenal. Beautiful accommodation, incredibly friendly staff and just the most incredible experience seeing animals coming and going. We saw elephants (loads!), zebras, buffalos, warthogs and giraffes. It was absolutely magical. One of the best experiences I have ever had. Food is also delicious! Lovely variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
