We were there during low season, so it was really quiet and it felt like we had most of the place for ourselves. The staff was amazingly helpful and kind, especially the manager, the most receptive and efficient of all the hotels we stayed in in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The pool and the greenery around it makes it feel like you're swimming in the jungle. Our room was freaking amazing, with high ceilings and 4-post beds, a dreamy terrace with sofa and chairs but the most amazing thing for us was the bathroom: modern and well-equipped first but when you turn your head to the shower you can see natural light and air pouring in from the ceiling (there actually an opening in the ceiling above the shower) and the side wall is full of plants, again it feels like you're taking the most relaxing shower in the jungle but with all the comforts of a high-end hotel.Breakfast is rich and healthy, with lots of fresh fruit, eggs, jam and toast, coconut pancakes and freshly made juices. They were also kind enough to let us stay in the pool after check out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Just one tiny thing: the rooms are not very sound-proofed so sound travels a bit.

Aurora is such a lovely oasis from the hustle and bustle of Galle and Unawatuna. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. They took great care of us. The rooms were big and clean with nice features; LOVED the outside shower and bathroom. Breakfasts were big and delicious. The pool was nice but we didn’t get a chance to use it. We would love to come back here!

The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the pool was great, excellent breakfast
The shower had an interesting vibe with a rocky floor and stone pebbly plate that you stood on which was a bit uncomfortable on the feet.

I had a lovely stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, and the outdoor shower and the pool were real highlights.
I wasn’t feeling well when I arrived, so I really appreciated how peaceful and relaxing the space was. The hotel is tucked away in a quieter area, but still close to the beach and an easy walk or tuk tuk to plenty of food options
