Great clean hotel with convenient access to ferry and station.

Close to ferry and station. Nice view of harbor from the room

Sidewalk out front cracked and in disrepair but the interior of the hotel first rate condition

Central to everything ..

Arguably the best hotel in town .. adjacent to the harbour .. close to train and bus centres .. a meter of snow in the streets and damn cold ..!! But tis the middle of winter and that’s why we went there

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very helpful and the views of the coast were wonderful.

The location was excellent for our needs and the breakfast was great.

Room slippers were a bit small.

Very good

I had unexpected room upgrade I think. From singe to double, but since I travelled alone I didn't see any benefit in it. Room was huge for Japanese standards, everything seemed posh and it was nice to have a place where I could park my car. First bath I could almost stretch my legs in Japan, definitely kudos for that! Also first room in Japan that didn't seem too cramped. So for me it exceeded expectations.

As expected this price for 4* hotel, something must be off. And for me, it kinda was. It might be because I stayed at more modern hotels, but this one is like travel few years back. For example it uses cards, but only to unlock the door, normally you'd have to slide them to get electricity which would also limit usage of it and also remind you to take it with you. Or that I didn't find single usb or usb-c port to charge anything. Also for me personally as a tall person, end of the mattress was too hard.

Good value for money

The hotel is nicely located just a few minutes walk from the Wakkanai JR station. The hotel is new and clean. Staff are polite and professional. I stayed during low-season (March), so the price was reasonable. Breakfast was excellent. Overall it was good value for money.

Beautiful hotel!

Breakfast was good! Room was very clean*(see below) and comfortable. Staff was great, it is a beutiful facility in a beautiful area!

Aircon in room was very weak, even with Thermostat set to 23C it was only able to achieve 27C and air flow was very low even with fan set to high. As we were leaving I figured out why, the return air filter, (in ceiling by door area) was completely caked with debris, air was unable to leave the room which makes for a very poor HVAC experience. Daytime outside temps were in the low to mid 30s C during our stay so room was stuffy and humid. Hotel maintenance needs to go room to room and clean/change these filters, their HVAC systems will be far more efficient, the customers will be happier and their electric usage will decrease.

A room with a view of the parking lot, but it was still fine!

Nice big rooms, a proper hotel, big bathroom, a couple chairs, desk, good size tv, pretty comfortable beds. The staff saved me, a spoke on my bike broke and they found someone who could fix my bike that day, I’m cycling Hokkaido, bike is the most important thing... The food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced.
