Amazing value for money. Host was super nice - even let us only pay for two nights even though we had missed our free cancellation to change the dates. Room was clean and had AC. Kitchen was well equipped. Free drinking water and hot showers!

The air con was good, and the price was good
It is a little run down, and they did not have change for a $20 bill. I don’t understand how you operate a business being unable to offer change for a $20. I had to wait until they got change, about 30 minutes.

We had issues with our baggage and booked this a couple hours before our arrival. It was so easy to check in. staff were lovely. Room was better than expected. Not too far from town. A nice quiet location. I was a little disappointed I could not stay longer to enjoy this hostel to its full advantages. Kitchen looked good and the pool looked nice

Our stay at El Pinzon was just about okay. The facilities available were not as good as expected. We booked this accomodation mainly as it was budget friendly for backpackers and came recommend in our guide book. It did not live up to expectation. The only positive I could find with this stay was the lovely pet dog the owners have, who was around a lot and was very sweet. They did offer to clean our room daily and change our towels, which we opted for as we often noticed small little bugs (not bed bugs) on our bed sheets.
The shared kitchen was very poor. Not maintained and poor utensils available. Our room had no natural lightening, which didn't make it a place we wanted to hang out in. There was no common area really, other than the kitchen. The pool did not look like it was being managed, so we didn't use it. I have stayed in many budget accommodations spots before and never had an experience quite like this. The host we found difficult to locate when we needed her.
