Appears to be slightly out of the city centre but it’s actually in the best location directly opposite the nightly water fountain show and right by the spectacular pedestrian bridge. There’s lots of little shops and street market very close by and there is direct access from the hotel lobby into a small shopping mall. Because it’s not directly in the centre there’s less traffic.
The hotel looks a little shabby from the outside and there is work going on to renovate it. Inside it warrants its 5 star rating. The room was one of the best I have stayed in in 40 plus years of travelling. Maybe mine was newly renovated but it was spectacular. The shower was state of the art and the bathroom had top quality everything!! The room was massive the bed was comfortable the view of the river was amazing especially at nighttime.
Breakfast was a feast although there was no pork.
Staff were friendly and helpful and always made time to talk to you.
I paid more than I normally would but what I got for my money made it worth every penny.
Nothing at all. It had everything I could have wished for at a price I could afford. There renovation with was very low key and didn’t adversely affect my stay.

Great location.
Not enough lifts for a hotel of its size. Took the stairs when I could but stairway was cluttered - not ideal for emergency exit situations.
