Position and the light coming in from the windows.
Very quiet and comfortable.

The property is located in a very central spot with easy access to restaurants, cafes and tourist attractions in Alfama District.
The elevator is fairly small and you have to take the stairs with all the luggage to get to your room.
Also there were couple of flies in the room, maybe because there was a construction going on the street nearby.
The neighbourhood can get very loud at night on weekends as there are bars and restaurants downstairs that are open late in the night.
Water temperature in the shower is very tricky to maintain. You have to constantly tweak it.

The welcome was very warm and friendly,particulary as we were early.
The room size was generous and tidy, with a view out to the road.
Location was good for the train, bus or tram.
There was the option to use a kitchen and lounge.
Unfortunately items went 'missing' from the room, even though you are given your unique code for the door and do not request cleaning services or ask for there not to be unaccompanied entrance to the room. After a complaint, the items 'materialised', again when we were not there.
Shower room needed a really good scrub and attention to its finish.
Noise from other rooms.
Badly scuffed walls.
