Originally built by Platt Cline (the Flagstaff newspaper editor after whom NAU’s Cline library was named), our home was lovingly owned by Ann Miller, a Hollywood actress in the 1940’ and then by the Wrigley family. We feel honored to be the stewards of this historic property in Sedona and while we modernize we are constantly ensuring that we continue to respect the beauty of the architecture and the legacy that the previous owners left for us. Huib was trained as a Master of Wine and has worked in several Michelin Star restaurants as the head sommelier in Holland. He graduated, youngest in his class, from the Wine Academy in Holland and has a deep love and appreciation of fine wine. We host a candlelit tasting in our main house and have the fireplace going in the colder months. The focus is high-end New and Old World wines accompanied by wonderful Mediterranean appetizers. It’s a fun and educational experience. Price is $225 per person, includes a 2-3 hour tasting with 8-10 wines and wonderful appetizers. The sunrises and moonrises are spectacular and the way the sunset makes the rocks glow is can seem out of this world. Even though we are so secluded in nature of we want to go shopping or to a nice restaurant we only need to drive a couple of miles. Although we are in the total tranquility of nature with over 14 hiking trails beginning right from the edge of our property, we are also very close to all the conveniences, restaurants and shops downtown (only 1.2 miles from Wholefood). Since we are at one of the highest points of Soldiers Pass and although walking is possible, we do recommend you rent a car while you are here so you can easily get around and drive back in the evenings after dining out.
