A relaxing and friendly atmosphere in a great location

Excellent breakfast and dinner choices, good quality and value. Staff very helpful and friendly ( a special thanks to Helen) A very spacious bedroom

The bedside lights were too dim to be able to read by. The shower was not very powerful.

A good central location for a stay in Dereham

Very clean room, comfortable bed, tea facilities, all that I expect from a Wetherspoon hotel. Good location right in the heart of Dereham. Well staffed by a friendly team in the bar.

A room for 2: 1 chair? A chair could have fitted under the desk. No USB ports in the sockets - needs modernising. Dreadful wi-fi reception in the room - OK in the bar.

The accommodation was disappointing for the price. The room was below our expectation.

The breakfast a good amount but was cold. The staff were helpful and provided a refund for the cold food.

The room was disappointing. There was a pair of pants outside the window. The sofa bed that was for our children to sleep on was ripped at the sides of the mattress. It also was really uneven and the straps supporting it were broken at the end so if you sat on it you would fall through. The curtains were off there hooks so wouldn’t close properly. I had to hook them back in. The shower was fixed so tricky to use and hard to adjust the temperature. They also charge an extortionate amount for early check in. We we’re hour an a half early and wanted to use the room to get changed in, ready for a show and they charged £20. We were told by someone on the phone that our in-laws could use the same room to change so we only had to pay the one early arrival charge but when we checked in they wouldn’t let us because of fire regulations.

Initial staff contact was not good. The staff member had a negative attitude bordering on rudeness. The bathroom toilet requires overhaul, or certainty bleach in the pan. The bathroom floor needs fixing and deep clean. There was dust in the wardrobe. The sprung mattress felt old and was uncomfortable. The style of quilt was noisy on movement causing disturbed sleep

Romney Rye

Room spotless although both of the seals around the sink and bath plugs need replacing (sink one missing, bath one gone hard), neither holding water.

Staff weren't particularly customer friendly, one of the young girls behind the bar needs training on which wines you sell. The girl who checked us in couldn't find our booking, she was becoming frustrated, she made me feel that it was my fault that the system had booked us in under Mark Home (whatever that means). Also, you might want to adjust the way you have your computer situated in reception. You find yourself talking to the back of the head of the receptionist. Not only that, as I've mentioned, the laptop screen faces outwards, everyones details are on show, this compromises GDPR regulations.

Pleasant hotel first time bad sleeping experience

Very good

We are loyal to Wetherspoons and eat regularly, have used this hotel on numerous occasions to visit my daughter, but we specifically asked for a quiet room and given 105, very clean and presentable as normal but however very disappointed with exceptional noise level drone noise due to fans going all night which we had a poor nights sleep, in addition the shower was tepid and not pleasant to shower in. When handing the card door in to member of staff she was very pleasant and understood our reason of complaint and to give you feedback and report to head office. Hopefully will you consider some compensation as did not meet expectations.
