We have family nearby and need to stay somewhere with our dogs. We’ve stayed before and knew what to expect which is always a warm and friendly welcome for all of us, particularly the dogs
The decor is tired but doesn’t distract from the welcoming staff and access for the dogs

Staff were very friendly, dinner menu was quite limited however we all found something we liked and enjoyed our food, lots to choose from for breakfast
Room was clean however carpet a bit grubby; bathroom needed some 'tlc', despite this we all said we would stay again

The grounds , perfect for being in the garden with the dogs , the area under the big beech tree was magical

Staff were friendly.
The hotel is very tired, it needs a renovation. There is a gouge in the wall at the top of the stairs, the door needs W40 applied. Sofa in bar, very stained
