Central location right next to the pedestrian area. Harpa Concert Hall a 10 mins walk away. Rooms are big and comfortable, breakfast varied.
Access to various sections is very complicated. If you are in a certain area and need to take the elevatir down, you need to scan your room key. We had just checked out so I had to carry the luggage on the stairs.
Check in took a lot of time, check out the same.
It was the time of Reyjkavik Culture Nights so everything was very busy. The parking lot stayed close for more than 24 hrs. They were unable to accomodate us in the restaurant for dinner because they said they were fully booked weeks in advance. There was noise on the streets until midnight. I understand this is out of their control but at least they should have given us some kind of notice so we prepare better. I did not feel any of the staff at the fromt desk really cared about out opinion.

Corner window which gave the room a bright welcoming atmosphere. The room faced a pleasant cheery plaza.
There was nothing that could have been improved. Even with a busy full hotel the staff were prompt and pleasant.

The view from our suite was beautiful
The room was very spacious and comfortable
No A/C
Had to keep a window open for air ventilation and people were partying nearby until early morning
It was very difficult to sleep under such circumstances
Moreover, given that it was a suite, the bed /mattress should have been a bit more comfortable
