Location was perfect
The room was extremely hot. We didn’t realize the heat was on till the next morning. Not enough places to charge your phones. Buffet breakfast extremely expensive!!

The hotel is well-located and relatively easy to find. Although we first entered via the restaurant. It is an adequate hotel room, although we felt it was pretty pricey for what it was. Maybe it's just Icelandic prices; we were not used to them.
At night, it was pretty loud and we could still hear the street noises with the window closed on the 5th floor. Not enough to stop us from sleeping, but it might not be very pleasant for light sleepers.
Our biggest disappointment came from the staff. We didn't expect to need their help, but we did on two occasions. First, a light in the bar cabinet would not turn off. The person who came to check didn't know how to fix it and said, "Weird, other rooms have that problem too, and we don't know what it is." It was very unhelpful, and we ended up figuring it out ourselves.
Now, the big one. There was a towel warmer in the bathroom. It was turned off when we entered the room, and we never touched it. As my wife took a shower, she brushed against it and burned herself. The towel warmer is placed right at the shower exit, so you must walk near it. My wife assumed it was turned off, as we hadn't turned it on. Instead, it was on full blast, and we think it had been like this for a while.
Let alone the fact that it's incredibly wasteful to have these on for an extended period, the thing was so hot it burned my wife, and there was a towel on it the whole time. So that could have been a fire hazard. My wife had visible burn marks on her back and leg, so I went to the reception to notify them and ask for a first aid kit.
The receptionist was very nonchalant and handed me something for a burn while rolling her eyes. A few minutes later, reception called our room to tell us that "did you know that there was a knob that you could use to control the temperature?" in a very sarcastic tone. I did not appreciate their attitude. I didn't appreciate that my wife got hurt and we didn't receive even a slight apology from the hotel or the staff. If anything, they talked to us like we were morons, when we weren't even the ones who turned on the towel warmer in the first place. And even if it was turned on, I genuinely do not believe these things should be so hot that they could burn someone at the slightest touch.
This left us extremely upset about our stay.
