Great Spot

Beautiful little place. Out of the bustle but only a short walk to the main area of town. Bikes for free use with helmet and vest. Quiet.

Best bang for the buck in San Pedro, friendly staff, good amenities, would recommend 10/10!

Everything! It was peaceful because it was about a 10 minute walk from the main tourists area. The staff went above and beyond. Good bang for the buck when compared to the other accommodations we saw.

This is out of their control but the moviestar wifi which they said started giving issues recently. This place is still a 5/5 for us.

All the little touches and details were so thoughtful and made the place feel cosy. Wonderful and kind hosts, made us feel so welcome. It was like being in a home though with our own space, perfect. Everything we needed and more, great information available. Beautiful space.

Best accomodation in South America!

Best accommodation we have stayed in in all South America! Comfortable, spacious, clean, really hot shower and hair dryer provided. Lovely family who run the place.

Fantastic room and host!

absolutely fantastic stay. everything exceeded expectations. room was comfortable, clean (daily), great bedding, wifi, and water filter for both cold and hot water. there’s an enclosed patio as well for sitting. Edgar is absolutely fantastic as host, the kindest and most helpful throughout the stay. absolutely recommend his place!

An oasis of tranquility in a gorgeous Chilean setting

The design and decor of the room and the little terrace outside was beautiful, celebrating Chile’s style. Edgar was such a lovely host, who went out of his way to make sure anything you needed was looked after.

Fabulous Hostal and Host

The host was amazing - when I arrived, I was a bit stressed as I had an issue with a tour operator not responding to me (booked online) who was supposed to have arranged my transfer from the airport and 3 days trips. Edgar drove me straight to town to the operators office to help sort it out. As I was leaving San Pedro, I needed some flexibility with my travel arrangements to the airport after a tour and he offered to drive me for less than a taxi or private transfer. During my stay, he messaged me each day to check in and offer to help in any way- he was like a friend or a concierge, not a hostal owner!! The room was lovely and comfortable - very cute and a great patio to stargaze. Easy walk to town or can borrow a bike - safe for a solo female traveler.

Everything ... the cosy and typical room, the outdoor terras, the watercooler, the clean bathroom, the decoration, the superfriendly host ... It is not in the tourist area but easy walkable. Room was cleaned every day en was super super clean and that is not easy in San Pedro where the streets are often unpaved. Highly recommended ...

The stay was amazing, we loved the room, it was beautiful in the traditional abode style, very clean. Edgar was so kind and went above and beyond to help us. 100% recommend Thank you so much Edgar you are made it so special.

wonderful mini-apartment with great staff!

extremely friendly and helpful staff! the mini-apartment is beautifully decorated, you’ve got a small chill area with a water kettle, toaster and sink. the owner helps with everything, bikes to rent for free. free water fountain! short walk into the centre.

could be with breakfast included, but as you tend to do early bird tours in Atacama anyway it doesn’t really matter :)

Excellent!!!

The best place we stayed in Chile. Very nicely designed, very spacious and very clean rooms with good WIFI. It's about 8 minutes walk to the center and it worth it. Edgar is a very friendly, caring and responsive person. He and his wife will make everything to make you feel comfortable. He can book you trips, take care of the transportation and help you with information. I highly recommend this place. We booked this place twice and were very happy to return.

No better place to stay in atacama

Our stay was fantastic. Edgar was extremely hospitable and even though he didn’t have the best English he tried really hard and was always able to communicate with us… to be fair our Spanish is worse then his English. He gave us amazing local recommendations with where to go, what to see and what to eat. The room was extremely clean and tidy and we loved the small patio/ sitting area for morning coffee or an evening drink; the rooms were cleaned daily. The location was just a bit away from the center which meant it was quiet. However it was close enough to walk to the main stretch where the restaurants were in 10 minutes. we would highly recommend ckuri atacama to anyone visiting. we couldn’t have imagined our stay without it. thank you Edgar!

Lovely room, great host, good location

Our room was lovely - well-equipped with a fridge and tea and coffee, nicely decorated with textiles, excellent shower and bathroom, and really comfortable. Edgar is a wonderful host. He kept in touch with us beforehand and throughout our stay and was extremely helpful. The location is good - a short walk from the centre of town and very quiet.

Rustic, Quiet, Clean, Good Value. Host is amazing and even organized pickups on 3 occasions for me.

10min walk from the city center can be a lot at night or on a hot day.

excellent stay!! highly recommended!

our host Edgar is very helpful and attentive. the room is so well equipped! great hot shower, I really enjoy my stay there for 4 nights! the room is cleaned daily too! plenty of space for storage and toilet is spacious! there’s water dispenser and kettle too. ckuri is not too close to the main streets but it ain’t that far, we just borrow Edgar’s bicycle to go around the town. good place to have a good rest, highly recommended!

Incredible value, wonderful hosts, comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.

This is a cozy and peaceful guest house just outside of the main tourist center, in a neighborhood where you can shop at the local bodega and watch kids playing football at night. The room has a small refrigerator, hot water kettle and toaster so you can make simple meals during your stay, and I can't say enough nice things about the kindness and generosity of Edgar and Silvana. They are sincere and thoughtful hosts and I would definitely stay here again.

We would hive Edgar and his place a higher rating if possible. Such a lovely and quiet spot to stay.

The place was very clean and very comfortable. Edgar went above and beyond he had bikes for us to use. He also drove us into the national parque and helped is enter at a later hour. My partner had an accident and he came and picked us up and took us to a doctor and waited for us.

Our stay was short but great, the staff were exceptionally kind, letting us borrow towels after our check out time and even lending us the showers of an unused room after our check out to wash away the salt from the salt lagoons before travelling.

This was a private, cozy and comfortable spot.

The room was very comfortable. we had a small kitchen and a private porch. We had our own entrance so it felt especially private. The owner Edgar was very kind, friendly, and responsive.

I liked where it was. We had a car and it was on the side of town that made it easy to get to our destinations. It was also close to a great breakfast/lunch spot and to town. However, it was on the opposite side of most accommodations. I believe that this made it so affordable.

The rooms are spacious, very clean and decorated with a lot of love. Edgar is a fantastic host! He made me feel very welcome and helped with everything I needed. Overall, one of the best places I have stayed at!

It is a gorgeous, Chilean guest suite with a kind, responsive host! Five Stars!!!

The host, Edgar, was wonderful! He helped us with transportation, tours, and even laundry. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable while staying with him. He's the best host I've ever had in all my international travels. The lodging was gorgeous and unique to the location! My partner and I were taken aback by how beautiful and fun it was to stay with adobe walls, bright tapestries, etc. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to San Pedro de Atacama, and would stay here again.

The bed is firm, which isn't my preference for a bed, but my partner loved the bed.

Amazing Edgar

Edgar is an exceptional host and person, he is friendly, thoughtful, and professional. The suite was very clean and followed all COVID protocols. The space is unique and had special authentic touches. Bike use and filtered water were appreciated! Coffee and tea, kettle and fridge provided.

The perfect host and a flawless stay

Edgar, the host, was without doubt the most welcoming and helpful host we’ve had at any accommodation. He will go above and beyond for his guests and clearly cares massively about his property. The room itself was large with a private space outside for lounging during the day. Really tastefully decorated in the local style and wonderful bed! San Pedro is an amazing place and Ckuri made it truly special.

Nothing at all. It was a perfect stay and would just recommend that Edgar keeps everything the same and continues to be his charming self with the guests.

Astonished!!

I would like to personally recommend this place. The experience was incredible from the beginning to the end. If you have the opportunity to stay here, don't hesitate to do it.

The only weak point is the ubication, it is not that close to the center of the village and the neighborhood is not the best. But if you ride on the bicycles provided by Edgar, you won't have any problem.

Awesome place and a great host

What a great place to stay!! Edger is an amazing host and makes sure that you are well taken care of, the facilities are amazing and have a traditional look to them. Super comfy bed, big room, very clean and we stayed in the double room and you have a table and chairs with coffee and tea! There are also free bikes available! Edgar also brings you tea when you arrive, and he allowed us to check in early! Thanks for a great stay!

Best host ever! Exceptional place!

Absolutely exceptional place which you should not miss when in San Pedro de Atacama. The accommodation is beautiful and cozy, built and decorated in traditional style which makes it very unique. Ckuri Atacama is located in a very quiet neighborhood, within short walking distance to the main street. Our host Edgar is an amazing person, very honest and friendly. He really made us feel welcome, and was always making sure that we were OK and had everything we needed. Make sure to ask him about the tours, we did and we will never forget that experience.
