I loved my solo stay in a private room, I felt very safe and in a good location! Loved : pool, restaurant on property, location. luggage storage, nice bed and private bathroom
There is no AC in the rooms and for a hot July night, I woke up a lot really overheated - so my sleep was not great. I still loved the room and bed though! The rooftop restaurant blasts music until 10 or 11 pm every night - I really did not mind that since everything else is so great, but heads up if you go to bed earlier than 10 PM.

We absolutely loved the friendliness of the staff. And for a basic room there was everything we needed.
We had the most amazing evening at the pop up restaurant event on the rooftop at Cafe Aberta. It was a total surprise to us that there was an eating facility at the premises, and we were blown away by the quality of the food, service and music. I hope it stays 'secret' for a while!
Ana who served us upstairs was an absolutely incredible host and we made became friends with her.
We will seek you out on any return visit to the capital.

Just a couple of maintenance points.
The pool water was not maintained very well. It was and needed a good hoover.

The location and structure of the building was great.
The maintenance of the property was poor and unclean. Also, as a hostel we expected there to be a kitchen, and there were not. We also had ants in our room, despite the cleaning service. Moreover, paying for storing the bags was unusual in comparison to other hostels.
