The apartment is within walking distance of the historic city center. The host was friendly and helpful. There is convenient free parking 400 meters away. The room was clean and pleasant. We arrived in Coimbra when the thermometer showed 39°C in the shade, so we were especially happy to have a properly working air conditioner. The bed was comfortable as well. It was a weekday, and the area was quiet at night.
Everything was good. In weather as hot as we experienced, a refrigerator would have been useful for keeping drinks cool. However, it was not mentioned in the description, so this is not a complaint, but rather a suggestion.

We were met by a very friendly host who was helpful. The apartment was bright and comfortable and had everything we needed for a night's stay. Situated just across the bridge (stunning at night) from the centre of the city, it was perfect location for visiting the University and exploring the town. Plenty of restaurants on this side of the bridge if you don't want to head into the bustling town at night. We were allowed to leave our bags on checkout and collect them later which was so helpful.
