Beautiful place.
Driving is challenging. House stands on top of the hill in old town. Steep , narrow streets. But we managed.

The location is superb: 5 minutes from the university and a bit longer to downtown. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, offering great view to the river. The place has parking, which is a huge plus in Coimbra. The staff was very kind and agreed to let us use the parking after checkout so we can explore the city without rush.
The joint kitchenette was not well equipped, so if you plan to make your own meals know it will be somewhat challenging.

Phenomenal location within the city walls and easy access to everything. Family suite means that you have the last 2 units at the end of the hall with a private bathroom. Very spacious for our family of 4. Fairly clean and great views of the river and city.
My husband is used to driving narrow streets but Coimbra was on another level. Unless you have a compact car, I wouldn’t try navigating the streets of Coimbra or try parking on their property. Tip: free parking at the university from Sunday to Monday morning.
The shared kitchen was not very clean and the cushions in the room were grimy.
