We had a great time, and the property was nice and cozy. It was right on the beach and made celebrating my girlfriend's birthday amazing. Place was clean and beds were comfy. Only thing was the fridge wasn't cold when we got there and even after having it fully closed it didn't really get cold. Freezer was working though. There was a smell coming from the fridge possibly due to not being cold. Also had a hard time with placing the key back into the lockbox. Other than that, it was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We had a really wonderful stay here with our three kids. It is a super charming vintage beach house in a great location with plenty of towels and beach necessities. Feels like staying in a family friend’s cherished vacation home. Location and views can’t be beat! We loved both of the coffee shops a couple minutes walk away on Mission Beach Blvd. I was a little wary of the “old school” agitator washing machine (needed to use as we had some stained kid clothes to wash) but it was so good that it has me considering buying a Speed Queen for our home.Property owners communication was very clear and check in and check out was seamless. Felt so personal renting from this family, and very meaningful when so many other vacation rentals feel corporate and devoid of personality. Be sure to heed their warning about the garage size. It is on the smaller size, but our rented Nissan Rogue fit just fine.A FYI, South Mission Beach is in the flight path that San Diego airport uses for departures from 10 to 11:30 PM each night. It made for a fair amount of airplane noise, which was especially noticeable to us in the back bedroom. With the windows closed and it was better, but if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to pack a sound machine or use a white noise app. We hope to stay again next time we are in town!

Great place!! Lots of character and it was so refreshing to stay in a place that doesn’t feel sterile like most vacation rentals. Hosts were great and responsive. We’d definitely stay again!Make sure you read the parking description - the garage spot is super tight and only suitable for smaller cars.

The place was great, the location is fantastic. It brought me right back to growing up in Mission & Pacific Beach in the eighties with all the wooden beach homes and the great smells of wood and salt, similar to the smells of the Hotel Del Coronado.
