Great to be in a very old cave so close to the restaurants and amazing views right outside :)

This place is a real jewel in Matera! Elisabetta was a wonderful host, from the start. Communication was fast and she was very helpful since our reservation with months in advance. She helped us with information for the best parking for our rental car which was a very good price and very close. The bedroom was beautiful, very clean, comfortable and on a great and beautiful location. A 8000 years old cave! The view from our window was priceless! The breakfast was served in the kitchen attached to the room and was amazing. She made us frittata and offered home made strawberry jelly, besides fruit and croissant, bruschetta, juice and fresh cappuccino. We couldn’t be more grateful for the advice she gave us for the walking tour we took in the sasso caveoso with Giulio! A great highlight to our stay.
Nothing. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! If we ever go back to Matera, that’s where we will want to stay again. No need to search for another place.

I liked everything about this place! It’s located in 8000 year old cave. It’s spacious, full of light (unusual for a cave) and very comfortable. It was very hot outside, but you can barely feel it inside the apartment. I barely used ac. Bathroom is big and comfortable, everything works to the perfection. Breakfast was home made, with variety of different dishes: omelet, home made jam, croissants, cappuccino etc. I didn’t use jacuzzi, but it looked very nice! Location is amazing. Right at the steps of the old town. The owner is very helpful and caring.
There is nothing to dislike in this property.

Location, nice decoration.
Mind that this is a room, not separate apartment. Our room had a glass door right in front of the bed, all sounds came through: host kitchen and wc right behind it. Someone waking up at 6 am and starting loud talking, preparations and so on. Not possible to sleep.
Breakfast nicely decorated and thats where it ends. Only carbs, second day pastry, water filled in from the pipe, but served in a bottle from mineral water, which was not nice.
This is a fineplace to stay, but not worth the price
$$$$
