The remodeling of the Sassi is amazing! The breakfast with local products was outstanding. The energy you breathe here is unbelievable. Highly recommended!!!!

Incredible breakfast, the best breakfast we had in whole of Italy! Quality ingredients and very very tasty.
The idea of a room in a cave is insane, Matera is great!
The room was quite moldy, the restaurant / eating space was in a cave as well but it was very good ventilated and the walls were actually dry, unlike our room, as soon as I entered our room I had to take an Aerius as I am strongly allergic to mold.
My wife felt it from the start as well, but she doesn't have my reactions.
Also, trying to cover the smell of mold with different strong incenses is a non-starter.
The amenities in the room are quite old, the shower - while inventive - is weird, took a whole 4 minutes for the water to get warm, the door to the room could also use a refresher.
