The location is amazing. The hotel room has a window that overlooks the inside of the ancient church of San Giorgio al Paradiso.
That we had to leave and couldn’t stay forever.

Location, different experience of being in a cave house
I realise why breakfast is organised the way it is. However the option to collect fresh bread and croissants from the office would be good.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The location was perfect, the breakfast was excellent, and the interior atmosphere was beautiful and full of character. What impressed us most was the staff — incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Their hospitality made our stay in Matera truly special. Highly recommended!
