We'd never stayed in a loft apartment before, so were curious to experience this type of lifestyle.
This spacious apartment is in a converted ropeworks that has been sensitively converted to retain the industrial architectural detail of this amazing building. In particular, the exposed vaulted brickwork of the ceilings is stunning.
The living area overlooks the Firth of Clyde, and the views are terrific.
The apartment is light and airy and the quirky furnishings (including a barber's chair upholstered in red leather and two exceptionally comfortable oversized sofas) make this open plan space feel inviting and cosy.
The kitchen is well equipped and features ample fridge/freezer space. There is a Lidl supermarket two minutes walk away, as well as a range of other supermarkets and shops in the Gallagher Retail Park within 5 minutes drive.
The beds are large and very comfortable.
The apartment has a dedicated parking space and has lift access.
Should you wish to venture into Glasgow on public transport, Port Glasgow railway station is within walking distance (although up a bit of a hill) and will take you into the centre of the city.
The apartment is located just off the A8 and would be an ideal base from which to explore this part of Scotland.

Overall stay was comfortable, instructions were clear, location was easily accessible to main road, apartment is clean, large and very comfortable for my family and our dog. Thank you Marc for being a great host.
A flexible shower hose would be great.

An amazing building with architectural significant history.
The property is fine. It is someone’s loft flat, not a hotel, not a motel, not à hospitality suite.
I imagine it is useful for photo shoots and those like myself on business in that locale. Excellent connection via rail and excellent motorway access.
