Wonderful view and beautiful sunrise and out of the hustle and bustle of Ella which is very busy and touristy.
There are adding an additional couple of rooms above so noisy work going on during the day.
A little bit out of town on a busy road so best to tuk tuk in the dark.
Sheets and pillow cases are not cotton and that would improve sleep experience if they were.

Die kleine freundliche Unterkunft hat nur 2 Zimmer mit Terrasse, es wird gerade auf 4 erweitert. Zimmer sind top sauber und gepflegt. Sehr netter Gastgeber, und die Mama kocht ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Man hat eine tolle Aussicht. Vor allem ist die Unterkunft in einer kleinen Seitenstraße, so daß man den Lärm und das Chaos der Ortsmitte Ellas nicht im Geringsten mitbekommt; dennoch ist man in 15min zu Fuß dort und hat die Restaurants zur Auswahl. Der Gastgeber hat auch ein Tuktuk und kann einen nach hier und dort bringen bei Bedarf.

The best and worst thing is the location, the good part are the amazing wonderful views and the negative part is that you need to walk around 15 mins on the edge of a dangerous busy road to get to the village. Good breakfast, clean, big room and great terrace.

Geweldig ontbijt. Vanaf het grote terras een absoluut uniek uitzicht op Ella gap, Ella Rock, Little Adam's Peak. Je kunt wel 20 km ver kijken! Rustig gelegen, 10 minuten lopen naar het centrum. Grote kamer. Prima service. Topplek voor weinig geld!
Alles was goed. Er waren wel een paar muggen op de kamer maar die hadden geen zin om ons te steken...

The views are absolutely unreal, we loved having breakfast outside in the morning. It is a short walk to all the main tourism sites in Ella as well as all the local restaurants and bars. Shan was extremely accommodating and reliable, driving us around in his TukTuk at some very unsociable hours. He was always just a WhatsApp message away when we needed him.
The bedding was all fresh and clean, however the pillows themselves smelt bad (although my partner points out that I am very sensitive to this so might just be me that found this to be the case!)

Magnifique lieu offrant une vue incroyable sur le paysage montagneux . Le petit déjeuner ( très copieux ) en terrasse dans ce cadre idyllique fut un vrai régal. Le personnel est tellement agréable et serviable, bravo !

The name of this place stands for itself. The hotel offers stunning views and breath-taking sunrise, overlooking the mountains, a waterfall and a train line at the same time. just WOW. Location is not quite central, but very quite. Anyways is a short drive to the town centre (only a few min) and if you have no transport Shan will gladly drop you down to the town. Shan is very humble, but at the same ready to help with anything you may need. Overall amazing experience. Great breakfast as well - was delicious! If I am ever back to Ella, there is no way I can exchange these views for another place.
The bed was a bit hard for me, but I am very fussy with beds in general.... The room may benefit from new bed linen and covers (these very VERY clean, but need change in my humble opinion). Everything else was perfect.

Prachtig uitzicht, zeer uitgebreid ontbijt. Lekker ruikende was. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Locatie was prima, 10 min wandelen naar sfeervolle straat.
Lakens waren wat vochtig. Voor ons was het een te royaal ontbijt, konden 6 man van eten. Er wordt op deze manier teveel weggegooid.

The breakfast was the best we have had in Sri Lanka. The view is exceptional and it has easy access to Ella town , being located 1 km away. You can easily get anywhere with a tuk tuk. Room was large and clean .

Awesome spot, great view, super nice room, really good breakfast. Stay here if you can. Rented a scooter from them for the standard rate in town with zero hassle. Short walk to town isn't an issue and the view is worth it (better than the photos).
Laundry service was overpriced and one of my shirts was lost. However, just do this somewhere else and the spot is perfect otherwise.

The view is the best, you get Ella’s rock, Little Adam’s Peak, a waterfall and train track, all from your private terrace. Like others mentioned, the breakfast is incredible and Shan offers the best service with recommendations, transportation and even a tuktuk guided tour. We spent 3 nights and could have stayed longer

Room was big,clean and nice. But the breakfast and the view, though...they were exceptionall! Breathtaking nature seen right from the terrace while eating. Location is good, 10-15min by walking to the city centre. Owner/staff was very kind and helpful. Took us to the city by tuk tuk and also to the tea factory outside the city.

Breakfast - Tasty, Large portions, Mix of English and Sri Lankan breakfast which enough to keep you filled for half of the day.
View - Well maintained small garden with a view of a waterfall from far and a railway bridge where you can see trains.
Room - Spacious, Clean, Comfortable with all necessary amenities. Very Clean Bathroom with hot water.
Madushan was really helpful and served us really well. He even offered to pick us up from and drop us back to the train station by his trishaw.

A few minutes walk up the main road to the centre of Ella for restaurants etc.
There are only 2 rooms so grab one if it's available! If not, Leisure Dream next door (run by another family member) has 3 rooms with similar view and the mother cooks breakfast for both properties.

the location was perfect, close to the Main Street but still in the middle of the nature. very quit and peaceful with beautiful Mountain View. the room was clean and had everything we needed, I definitely recommend this place!
the staff was very friendly and gave some tips about places to visit and we were able to rent a scooter.
we wanted to rent a scooter which was a bit more expensive then we were used to + we got it with an empty tank (so we had to drive to the tank station) which made it more expensive

The location is very close to the centre (walking distance). The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The view from the room was breathtakingly beautiful. Good value for money for sure! Definitely the best accomodation from all the places we stayed at while in Sri Lanka!

Hidden gem with amazing views of Ella rock, lush green hills and Ravana waterfall.
Perfect breakfast with both lankese and western options, and plenty!
Everything was clean and comfortable. AC works well, so does how water.
Walking distance to the main road where all restaurants are, which we appreciated, as we prefer to be away from the noise.
Owner has a tuktuk and picked us up from the train as agreed.

Lovely place, a little bit away from the main town so it's very peaceful, no traffic noise, and amazing views. Owner is professional and helpful. Rooms were surprisingly well equipped, fridge, small TV, sofa, air con, hairdryer, nice hot shower. 10/10, would recommend this place, it's in a much nicer area than other hotels. Easy access to walks. Thanks

A beautiful view from your own (mostly) private terrace! We extended our stay here because we enjoyed it that much. The room is very spacious and comfortable.
Walking up and down the hill to the city centre is a bit of a hassle, especially at night but not too dramatic. Takes about ten minutes.
