Beautiful hotel in the Centre of the city where you can make a nice walk with a lovely atmosphere

The breakfast was perfect with many items to choose

When arrived at the hotel I would liked that someone can show you the public place you could make use of the hotel

Excelente hotel en inmejorable ubicación.

Hotel ubicado a la entrada de Ortigia, que es una isla dentro de Siracusa, que destaca por su belleza. Ubicación inmejorable y el hotel es la antigua sede de Correos lo que le da un aire retro pero muy bien conservado. Sin duda es el hotel donde alojarse si se va a Siracusa

El tamaño de las camas que eran de 1,6m y son pequeñas para los standares de este tipo de hotel

Luxury hotel, perfect location to explore Siracusa and access for the restaurants and cafes.

The location is perfect.

There were few small problems in the room, radiator not working, satellite tv channels disappeared midway through our stay, had to ask several times for extra milk, that should be dealt faster for a five star hotel. Some of the problems were never resolved. There were some repairs works on the same floor, so we hade to walk through dust every time we wanted to reach the stairs. Would’ve been nice to be told about the work going or put us in a different room. The hotel was not busy.

Great 2 days in Ortigia.

Concetta on reception was fantastic - an enthusiastic staff member. Breakfast and staff were great.

Arrival was stressful / receptionist was not easy to relate to. Holding charge of extra 30% has still not been refunded.

Perfectly located beautiful hotel!

Beautiful hotel perfectly located. Rooms were very large, service was excellent. Breakfast and lobby bar were also fantastic!

Charme d’un palace italien à l’ancienne

Personnels aux petits soins, accueil chaleureux, petit déjeuner continental copieux, emplacement central, parking à proximité, cuisine excellente, literie confortable.

Taille des chambres petites, salle de bain rétro avec douche et robinet vétustes, piscine rétro. Regrettable pour un 5 étoiles..

Awesome and luxurious stay in Ortigia

What a great hotel! The rooms are spacious, modern and luxurious, the architectural style is amazing, the staff is one of the friendliest and most attentive ones I ever encountered, the location is perfect (within 5-10 minutes walking distance of the city center and a large parking lot in front of the hotel). This hotel is the best choice if you want to stay in Ortigia.

A perfect spot on Siracuse

After being well over Sicily ( Palermo -Mondelo, Scopelo, Cefalu) , Trapani ( and surroundings) , Agrigento ( and surroundings), Taormina-Naxos, Siracuse is first on our list . Not to be missed. Then you might choose this place to stay. Why? The hotel is very well located in Ortigia where everything happens.The staff is very professional yet delicate. Perfection. We were upgraded at arrival without asking for. How about that for a welcome reception. Room was quite large , had a great view of the harbor, was very clean and had all the conveniences one might expect from this type of property . Breakfast is so complete that takes time to decide on what to eat each day . A great hotel overall .

1. Sometimes there is no easy parking; . In an unfortunate day on my arrival I was not able to find a paying parking spot for over 20 minutes . The charge is 15 euros for 24 hs ( hotel charges 40 euros and parking is about 1 mile away) . 2. Shower area is very small compared to bathroom size (which even includes a separate bathtub) . 3. I was not aware of them not having an open swimming pool. A major drawback. 4. The breakfast is in an area where you come in and out of the elevators - not ideal , but after giving a little thought I does not seem to exist a better area due to the architectural design of the place

An Amazing Experience!

Everything! The staff was unbelievable, always there to assist as needed! Silvia, Johnnie, all the staff were amazing! Very clean, quiet rooms; breakfast was great, and the building (an old post office) itself is beautiful! Our next stay in Ortigia will include staying at the Ortega Palace Hotel!

Very hard to find something we were not happy with, but if there was one small thing it would be that we could not seem to get our room cold enough. It was very hot in Ortigia in August and while our room was cool, it was never cold enough for us, no matter how low we set the AC.

Fabulous — beautiful hotel, great location to walk everywhere or take tuk tuk or a boat

Beautiful clean and perfect location !! Fabulous staff—with Nicoletta, Conchetta and Anna at the front desk to help with reservations & sight seeing planning, Serena at breakfast each morning and Paola at the rooftop restaurant with an amazing guitarist serenading us!! Every staff person many whose names I do not know, was amazingly helpful and warm and friendly. They surprised us with an upgraded room with sea view and balcony, a bottle of sparkling wine and a birthday cake as they knew we were celebrating my 60th birthday. Nicoletta’s recommendations for restaurants and local beach was great! And Conchetta’s idea to do a private boat to the nearby sea caves was perfect! We will definitely be back to this hotel again if we return to Sicily!!

perfect location, beautiful hotel, wonderful staff. very poor air conditioning

the hotel was spectacular and in a perfect place. the front desk staff was so helpful. Sylvia and Maria were absolutely wonderful. we stayed in the duplex with a sea view, magnificent! The only complaint and the reason I didn’t give a 10 is that the air conditioning was almost non existent. there was no way to cool the room. it was probably around 80 degrees in the room. thank goodness Sylvia got us two fans. if they fix that, it would be a perfect 10.

Left feeling just ok. I would go back but would need a bigger room and on a floor that was odorless

Staff was extremely pleasant . Especially Alessandro, francesco, Angelo for breakfasr and Concetta for Check out.

Room was too small for me and found an odor that came from somewhere. Asked to change room and Silvia took us to another room but the same floor. It did not help much and she told me hotel was full. I later found out thAt there were other rooms available but they were not offered to me.

Superb

Beautiful hotel transformed from the post office. Breakfast was in stunning glass roofed atrium. Great breakfast choices too. Room was fabulous. Mezzanine bed and bath and separate shower and sitting room overlooking the port and sea. Sylvia on Reception was super helpful and breakfast staff were very attentive.

Spa area should be free to use for guests with charges only for treatments. Balcony terrace was not open to guests, apart from Wednesday evenings, which was disappointing as there was nowhere else to sit out.

Surprise treats brought to your door in the evening. V comfortable large bed.

We didn’t find anywhere to sit outside at the hotel.

Beautiful place, Pool facility should be FREE anytime ESPECIALLY when no AC!!

The serving staff were very friendly. Front desk staff on arrival were very rude.

We had no air conditioning the whole time we were there, 5 days! No fans were available. We were not even informed about the situation. We had to ask! Pool was only FREE for one visit!!

Be prepared to be disappointed

The only part of our stay we liked was the staff - other than the ones at the front desk. Breakfast staff was lovely, housekeeping as well.

We booked a junior suite and were very excited as this was our “treat” within this trip. There was no air conditioning in the hotel, something we were not informed of when checking in (and apparently other guests were not told either). On the first night, front desk staff suggested we open the windows because “maybe tomorrow” the air will be fixed. We were there for five nights and kept hearing “maybe tomorrow “. We were beyond disappointed in the way we were treated. Had my husband not spoken to the manager at the end of our stay, they would not have discounted the room for us. As Marriott members, we are saddened that this has become part of their Autograph collection. I would never go back. The front desk was beyond rude.

nice central hotel with a good breakfast. but facilities were limited.

no outside seating area in warm country it’s nice to sit outside. they had a terrace but only opens on a Wednesday. plus the gym didn’t open till 3pm

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. A real treat.

Beautiful decor. Great location. Spotlessly clean. Super friendly and helpful staff. Little estras like bottles of water, Easter eggs to decorate and pistachio treats. Good size bedrooms with all facilities needed.

Spa was closed. Cocktail menu could have been better. Also parking was a nightmare.

Beutiful hotel, a stone's throw from the enchanting Ortigia centre.

Excellent breakfast. The staff is very polite, efficient, helpful and will fix problems in a very short time. Beautiful hotel, very convenient location to visit the historic centre of Siracusa.

We had a couple of problems in our room - the safe and the shower weren't working properly. They were soon fixed but rooms in a 5 star hotel with that cost should be reviewed more carefully.
