Slip on your pool bands and take a dip in the heated pool, workout in the fitness room, or stroll out to the beach on one of two attached boardwalks. You'll find a little something for everyone here at Sterling Sands! This vacation rental is within walking distance of several restaurants ranging from family-friendly breakfasts at the Pancakery and excellent Italian fare from Mimmo's Ristorante Italiano. Explore the 208-acres of Henderson Beach State Park where you can hike the nature trail, photograph native wildlife, fish, or relax on the beach. And for those looking to hit the links, the Indian Bayou Golf & Country Club is just a little over a mile north of this rental. Things to Know Elevator in the building. Beach service is not included. A beach service vendor sits on the beach, and guests that wish to rent from the vendor must go out to the hut and pay them. A resort fee (for amenity wristbands and parking passes) of $15 plus tax per person (5 years old and up) must be paid during mandatory pre-registering online. Website provided in confirmation email. This unit has a max occupancy, including children. These are rules set by the State of Florida and the State of Florida Fire Codes. The Fire Codes go by square footage and not the beds in a unit. If you arrive with more than the max occupancy listed, the HOA will not allow you to check-in and you will not be entitled to a refund. Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 2 vehicles. This rental is located on floor 7. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The condo was in a good location. The pool and hot tube were nice. The fitness center was closed the entire week we were there. Also, this property doesn’t allow you to put up an umbrella on the beach. Your options are to pay for the $40/day beach chairs or have no umbrella. This isn’t listed anywhere on the listing. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The condo was fine as well as the building itself. Staff very nice. However, there were hidden costs we were not aware of. I was told it was in information sent, but when I found email it was buried in the amenities section.
With this particular condo, you have to pay for each person to use the beach and pool. It is NOT included in your rental. You pay $10 per person to receive a wrist band and you have to pay for a parking pass to park in lot of building of which you just paid for a weeks rental!! The HOA runs this building and therefore the extra costs. I believe that not all condos are like this as we talked with other people in building. We rented through Vacasa.

We booked this condo for a few nights as an early add-on before our vacation on 30A. The building and unit were clean and family friendly. The pool and beach setup was great for our kiddos (8 & 5). The unit is a bit dated, but the view and location more than make up for any shortcomings.

Our unit was as advertised, small, but nice. Staff was great. But Beach service was very expensive. I had to basically bribe the manager, with a more than 20% tip, to get on the front row. Now, this is ON TOP OF spending $320 on chairs!! AND, no one came by, ALL DAY, to check on us or see if we needed,anything. TERRIBLE BEACH SERVICE! And you CANNOT bring your own chairs to the water UNLESS you’ve purchased their chairs! Also, smoking isn’t allowed anywhere, EVEN THE BEACH! You are banished to the bus stop in front of the resort!
I won’t stay here again because of the above.

The location is great and our condo was clean and organized on the inside. The deck and deck furniture was not so clean. Looking down at the pool area from our deck, there were dark dirty areas around each table and the pool chairs. The deck and pool area could use a good power wash. Here is the worst thing, The listing instructed us to register our car with the HOA. Once I arrived at the HOA office, I was informed that I had to download an app in order to pay for pool and beach access and you are given a bracelet to identify the fact that you have paid. 10.00 per person. This was not in the listing at all. To make matters worse, don't forget that dang bracelet because you are treated like a criminal. If I have an active code to get through the gate, the bracelets should be irrelevant. Why is the very person who helped me at the HOA office insisting I wear a bracelet when she is the one who sold it to me in the first place. Ice was also a paid extra in this building. I come to Destin every year, I wont be back here where they charge extra for everything.

The condo was dirty. Hair on tub and toilet. Televisions did not have working remotes. I notified office they said maintenance would come and look at it but sadly never showed. This condo needs updating. Will never stay here again.

Room needs to be updated. This unit has very minimal kitchen essentials. Morning of checkout the cleaning staff were trying to come in at 8:15am. Biggest disappointment was being told we could not sit on the shoreline and watch my kids in water. We were told it’s property rules and we had to have rented chairs in the front to be able to sit in the sand by the water. There were no chairs to rent. We will not return.

I really enjoyed this property. Great view of the gulf from the balcony. Beautiful pool/hot tub area as well. Very easy to check in and out.

Early March Stay
I loved that it was so close to the elevator. Furniture was clean and condo was cleaned very well. I like that in order to get to the pool you have to have a code. I also liked that in order to come off the beach you had to have a code to pass through. Security is often roaming around and checking on things. I felt very safe. The view from the balcony is breathtaking! The washer dryer combo really came in handy and both beds were comfortable. Loved that the master bathroom had a big jetted tub. Everything about this trip was great! I will definitely be coming back.
