The rooms are really cosy, and the bath is a lovely touch. Check-in and check-out are very easy, and it was wonderful to have the apartment cleaned daily.
This particular room had an odd smell when we entered, we think from the cleaning products? The shower door also needed to be positioned in a specific way to not cause pooling on the bathroom floor. This particular bed was too soft for our liking.

The apartment itself was excellent. It was very new, clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Unfortunately, our experience with the management was very disappointing. We only booked this accommodation because we had to change our travel plans due to severe weather. I called in advance to explain that we might arrive about an hour after the stated check-in time and asked whether they could simply leave the room unlocked or arrange an alternative key collection. This was refused, and I was told we would have to pay a late check-in fee. When I asked how much the fee would be, they repeatedly said it “depends on the time” and would not give me a clear answer.
When we finally arrived, we discovered there were staff members staying on the property. Despite that, we were told the owner would charge us an additional NZD 100 late check-in fee or we would not be given the key. We had no choice but to pay.

Windows didn’t close properly was windy very noisy, to basic for 220 per night especially for timaru
