Location and style of apartments are awesome and great. I love staying at the Istay. However……….
I am very disappointed from my last stay as I found the cleanliness of the first apartment that was allocated to me on the 11th floor was not clean at all. On opening the door instant smell of foul unclean urine coming from the bathroom.
I requested a lower level compact 2 bedroom apartment, on entering the bathroom there was still graces on the toilet seat and apartment was tidy but not cleaned as expected when your paying for a nice apartment. Each time we had a shower a strong sewage smell would suffocate all rooms. Beds were very uncomfortable and I would suggest an upgrade to mattresses. Please see photos below of the state of the room.

The location was good. They had a washing machine, tumble dryer and a dishwasher in the room which was very handy. Apartment was clean.
The entryway into the building smelt very strongly of stale cigarette smokes. There was also an ashtray on the table with the enclosed balcony, even though they supposedly have a no smoking policy. Also the tv wasn't working and when i called the reception they told me " i need to press the button on the remote" with a laugh. Like i have never seen a tv with remote before. When eventually they sent someone, the tv had been wired incorrectly and had to be rewired and then it worked.
