The hostel is in a great location, only a few blocks from the Main Street with restaurants and shops as well as close to hiking paths. The setting was very relaxing- views of the mountains, lots of birds and hummingbirds nearby. The room itself was plenty big and there were enough outlets for electronics as well as a small desk and chair to put luggage. Breakfast was good, and was made to order as you sat down and consisted of eggs, cut fresh fruit, bread (or a crepe), coffee and juice. The owner was nice, and helped organize activities (although there are many places in town that will offer that service as well). It was an excellent value for the area. They offer small soaps and a shampoo packet. A hairdryer was also available (I had a private room). It was nice to have breakfast and watch hummingbirds go to the feeders.
Nothing really, just a few small things I noticed. The hostel will take credit cards for payment but they added an 8% fee. So, if you plan ahead and bring the cash value of your stay, you won’t pay the fee. My room had a balcony that faced the street but there was no way to keep the door to the balcony closed if I was sitting out there and not wanting bugs to come in the room. Someone had left a small rock to wedge under the door so that sort of worked but they should have something heavier than that - otherwise the door to the room would have been wide open for bugs (or possibly even a bird) to go in. You’ll want to keep curtains closed if facing the street as the morning sun is definitely bright. Also, not a huge issue but they don’t have daily housekeeping (it’s a hostel) and they give you a key when you check in that is for your room and the main door (if it’s after hours). So that’s the only way your belongings are secured- don’t forget your key! Lastly, it can get somewhat loud near the hostel as people are up fairly late (and early to go birding) - I heard some partying, car doors slamming shut and also 4x4s going out on the street. It was quiet after about 11:30 pm though.

Biohostel is situated close to the main street for easy access. We lived the dining area in the tree tops with regular visits from hummingbirds and other birds. We self-catered some nights easily using the kitchen and supermarkets nearby.
The manager was very nice and helped with tour recommendations, directions. We had lovely breakfasts and got a pile of laundry beautifully clean. It is a quiet time so we also had a balcony to relax on and almost the hostel to ourselves, very relaxing!
We found the hot water in the shower very tricky to regulate but in fairness we didn't complain about it.

Great location, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff. Loved the balcony and the common outdoor space. Nice to have a kitchen to use.

The Hostel has a Lot of potential, the location is great and the Hostel is huge and has a terrace
The terrace was not taken care of, like the rest of the place. It seems like a Ghost Hostel, as there were not a Lot of people or staff, everything was dark and the explanation of the place was not good. There were only 3 lockers per floor, with a Lot of places more
