Beyond Colosseum

It was a beautiful location, outhouses within the quiet gardens of an old villa away from the noise of the main street. Beautiful place but not ideal if you have any trouble walking as there’s a steep uphill and then the building we were in was about a six minute walk from the main gate plus flight of outdoor stone steps up to the room , so you can’t nip back quickly if you forgot your lipstick etc .

The only issue I had was down to the listing being incorrect . The photo of the room selection when I booked was basically a wrong slide show for a king room and they changed it after I mentioned it , I would’ve just thought they’d put me in the room I expected as I showed it was the photo on my booking but they instead offered it for €50 extra per night saying it was booking.coms mistake . The point was I booked the room with a balcony and a kitchenette that was shown as the king room but later changed to double deluxe on booking.com … whether it was a mistake or not was not my mistake , and it felt like false advertising as my room had no balcony and was smaller and darker in a distant outhouse . Still a gorgeous room and spotlessly clean , however with this kind of mistake they really just should’ve given the room which was clearly empty anyway since they offered to give me it at a higher price . For me , paying close to €600 for my stay was already really extravagant if I’m honest so I couldn’t possibly justify more . When it advertised tv with streaming services I was surprised there was no Netflix but that was my assumption and not a big issue . It was a beautiful place and really lovely lux vibe but it’s a shame the customer service suffers form no ground staff or reception area to sort things in a personal way . From the pictures I thought there was some kind of communal lounge / food area / reception area but there is no such thing . It’s a very beautiful peaceful Airbnb room and there are daily cleaners whom id give a 10/10 to , I only had them clean my room once but you could tell how thorough they are . Chic decor , low golden lighting, I’d stay again if I knew for sure the room I was getting , it just kind of dampened it to feel I wasn’t getting what I thought I was when I booked .

Great sized room, comfortable beds, excellent shower and good ac. Great location, 5 mins from the metro, close to great restaurants, 15 mins walk to Colleseum, mini mart across the road. Excellent host - great recommendations

Tea and coffee wasn’t refilled.

It’s got a lot of character as you stay in an old barn type building. Very high ceilings and exposed beams and the site itself is in a kind of private park Staff were very friendly and nice we contacted them and when they introduced us to the room etc

They hold events there which can be quite noisy and go quite late. On one occasion it kept us up until 1am when we had something booked early the next day
