We really enjoyed our stay at The Ship Inn in Elie. It’s the perfect base for exploring the East Neuk Coastal Path. With only six rooms, it has a lovely, intimate feel, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the breakfast was excellent. The beautiful nearby beaches were an added bonus. We’d happily stay here again!

Location, comfort of room, delicious food, lovely staff. Felt very cozy.
1) A little above my budget, but I knew that going in.
2) Given wrong information by a staff member about where to pick up Coastal Fife Path. It was right around the corner, but I was sent way off course! Of course, I should have myself been better informed.

The location is great if you are walking the Fife Coastpath. Staff is very friendly.
£297 is far too expensive for a room (double) with no view (windows covered), slow WiFi, no charging points by the bed, no bread at breakfast, dry and cold pancakes (from the supermarket?). The Shipp Inn did not meet our expectations at all and was a major, overpriced disappointment.
